The Comfortable Words are found in the Service of Holy Eucharist (Rite I) from the Book of Common Prayer and are one of my most favorite parts of the service. Often, I find myself thinking of these verses for consolation throughout the week, so it seemed like a no-brainer to make them into a little pocket zine to keep close at hand.
One thing that always endears me to simply one page zines is how ephemeral they are; they aren’t precious. Chez Sap zines to meant to be used! Redownload and reprint often. It’s okay if you lose it, or spill coffee on it. Just reprint and refold –hey presto, you have your little mini zine once again!
Chez Sap zines may be fleeting, but thank goodness the grace of God is not! Keep these Comfortable Words near to your heart and mind for daily reminders of the love and grace freely given to us “miserable offenders.”
This is a special Christmas zine, look forward to new Comfortable Words zines and more in 2026!
Love,
Jenoa Sap
